Soldiers returning from their missions are having post traumatic stress disorder.
I don't think enough is being done to help these families. They have carried weapons constantly for 6 - 8 months, lived in compounds, and saw many things we will never see. After 6 -8 months on a mission, as much as they want to get home, I am not sure 5 days of debriefing would be enough. A month may never even be enough for some people, but more has to be done.
