While they do not get any tax credit, they can and will talk about what good community partners they are and use that donated money to self-promote.
At big box stores it's the never ending donation requests and at small businesses it's the constant request for tips on the point of sale terminals. Both are frustrating and annoying. I just want to pay what I owe. That's it.
