Enough of the "more Keystone Handouts!!!"

Why not lease the land out? Save the greenspace with the trees, but lease out the space on the southwest corner. Have them sign 25 year leases. This would be a revenue stream for the Keystone.
It is amazing how everyone says the City should increase funding for the Keystone. Do you not realize this will increase civic taxes? This only makes the Keystone more dependent on the City to bail them out. The Keyston should be run as a business. Seek out all sources of revenue, while controlling and eliminating certain costs.
If you get behind on your mortgage payments and household bills, there is 3 things you can do. Declare Bakruptcy, get another job to pay the bills, or downsize.
Since the Keystone can't downsize, nor declare bankruptcy, it is obvious what they should do. People refuse to go downtown because they hate feeding the meters, well then paid parking in the Keystone isn't going to work. Where else are we to get money from?
Maybe Reg Forbes would like to make up the difference out of his own pocket, ,for all the deficit situations with the Keystone.
Enough of the bleeding. The economics have chaged drastically from 25 years ago, and absolutely from the first fair in 1882. If it was your business, you would seek additional revenue streams, or board it up and put a for sale sign on it. One thing for sure is you wouldn't let it continue the way the Keystone has been going.
If you are against Development, then what other ways can we make the Keystone viable, without them asking for more handouts and driving our taxes higher. We can complain about higher taxes for a new fire hall, police station and water treatment upgrades, but many are ok with giving the Keystone more money??? That is a twisted look at civic econmonics that I do not want to be a part of.
