So trying to decide what day to take the little ones. Don’t want massive line ups and crowds. I thought of Sunday, but I thought lots of rides get taken down early. Any truth to that?

But alas Brandon idiots have canceled the derby. Was the favorite day for everyone I know. So we are not wasting our money. We'll go to the beach or do a staycation at a hotel instead. Bad on fair planners.

As the press release states "The Derby, which has been a staple at the Fair for close to thirty years, was also canceled last year when entries  
hit an all-time low and unfortunately, interest has not rebounded this past year as the Exhibition had hoped."  
 
If know one is entering cars or drivers into the event then it is a little difficult to have an event. A demolition derby with only a few heats would be an absolute waste of time and money.
