I think it's time we all discuss the situation with Highway 1 and the fact they didn't start the work until September and now there is snow.... The situation with the Daly Overpass is also frustrating but maybe more understandable? What are your thoughts?

still pave at the moment, so what is the issue to discuss?

I’m not sure I follow what you’re saying. The paving isn’t finished and it is too cold to pave anymore for the season. Just crossing at either 1st or 18th isn’t a lot of fun. The east bound lane needs a lot more asphalt put down and so do the turning lanes. Snow clearing isn’t going to work well and I could see the uneven surface getting chewed up over the winter.

Yes it seems weird that they started #1 in September. However there has been multiple other projects that have been worked on this summer. There is always short term pain for long term gain. Daly bridge however looks a way ahead of schedule, considering it was never expected to be finished before next summer. It might go on pause now until spring. Lots of dirt work and old bridge removal to do yet

Why didn't they at least try to feather the edge a bit or add some small temporary ramps sections before snow flew at First St crossing #1, that sharp hump slows traffic to a literal crawl and can't be good for lower profile rim and tire combos or suspensions in general

Maybe if they were going to start that late the company doing the work should have been working weekends and holidays to ensure it was completed on schedule ?
