Roads in Brandon are a mess and would be the perfect time to get out and clean them as they are very sloppy. Even the main roads would help. If cleared off they would be dry very soon.

I’ve never seen so much salt mix on our roads. It’s dark brown snow out there.

And then people complain when they don’t sand the roads.  
No win situation

complain they are wasting money by clearing the slush on the roads also.

Same amount every year, nothing new

Brown is actually a clue it’s more sand than salt. Poor maintenance people can’t win. Either someone is mad they are using it or mad they aren’t.

This is my second winter in Brandon and I think they're doing a great job at keeping the roads clear and doing it at a time that interrupts regular traffic! The streets in my area have been plowed regularly and I don't even live on a bus route!! Where I lived before, bus routes were the priority as were the main roads, but residential streets were done last! Keep up the good work City of Brandon!!

Large parking lots like at the Coral Centre need to be cleaned out as well. Hard to push a cart full through that.

It is the commercial property owner that is responsible for clearing the lots. They definitely do NOT do a good job in any of them. Every lot is an accident waiting to happen!

The residential roads are a mess. Our street hasn't been cleaned once this winter. The city just keeps adding more sand & salt. The thawing and freezing have just left an icy, rutty mess which is hard to navigate with a small car.  
I'm not complaining about the city workers, They are doing what they are told to do, but, a city wide snow clearance would be nice.

With temperatures set to be above zero for the next week or so, does it really make sense to send our road crews to remove the melting snow?  
 
I say, save a few dollars and let mother nature take its course.

I guess I should have checked the weather...I sure hope it all melts off the streets

You must be very lucky. On my way to my street they only will dand or plow it half way to the new development area and then the other half is just left. Our street rarely gets plowed and luckily there is someone with a snowblower on thier truck, as they will help with clearing the street.  
 
What needs to be addressed is the state of the roads.. I know they can't do much in winter but 18th st. Is horrible!! Especially at the intersection on the south end of the mall by thr cemetery. It is completely full if ruts and now there are major pot holes in the lanes. I can't really avoid it as that is how I get to work and home. All summer long they just filled it and didn't address the problem as a week later the pavement would be dug out.  
 
Also there is also the huge pot hole in the south end of the shoppers mall.. it is aboutb3 feet wide and about a coke can deep. No wonder there are so many vehicles with suspension damage and such..

What about the streets? Why aren't getting cleared? We haven't had that much crazy snow this winter, yet the City isn't doing enough to clear off the major roads on time and then the streets are completely abandoned. This isn't right. They need to do more please

Well how’s everyone’s vehicles holding up? The craters on these are nothing I’ve seen before! What is the city doing? There is holes that will shred your tires to pieces and take out your front end if hit.. I seen a sand truck driving around Sunday, is the city filling the holes with sand because there was no ice to be seen Sunday on the roads lol
