I noticed a strong (multiple) RCMP presence last evening and again today at an acreage on 1A west of Brandon. Police tape around the house and officers searching the property. I hope everyone is safe and well with this situation.

I saw police going crazy fast (like probably 80-90km) on 34th and then Victoria Ave west. The emergency vehicle lights could be seen from the edge of the city. Haven’t seen anything on the RCMP socials or anywhere. Hopefully everyone is okay.

Haven't been able to find anything on any public releases on news sites or RCMP pages, but if there was indeed police tape around a building, it would likely indicate they are preserving a crime scene of some sort. I didn't notice anything on my route today, but I also wasn't looking around either. Hope all is well, and no one was injured with whatever happened.

The article did not have much info. There was a deceased person found on a property along 1A, near Kemnay. RCMP were not confirming rumors that it was a homicide-there was to be more info released, they thought on Wednesday. That was about the extent of it. No name was given.

The Brandon Sun had this a couple of days ago. “Mounties have deemed the death of a 40-year-old man in the Kemnay area as “not criminal in nature.” “
I can’t post the whole story because it’s behind their pay wall but I saw this on a google search.

there is no criminal element to this. It's still a sad outcome for the family and friends.
