You are better to claim it all as rent as at a care facility it is all included in the monthly rate. Claiming medical expenses amounts to very little on the return. Someone had done my Dad's taxes and claimed his whole payment for care as medical expenses...I redid the taxes and went back with the CRA and had his return for that year amended....made a huge difference on the refund.
