Assuming everyone who voted, voted for mayor, only 10,597 people voted. Less than 20% of the population

Seems like a rather dismal turnout.

It's a shame that more people didn't exercise their right to vote. It's also disappointing that we have another 4 years of the same. I was hoping for change.

I think a possible problem causing a poor turnout was the lace of Voter cards. Unless you have access to the internet, some do not want internet and some are not able to afford it, you did not have the information.

I would like to call out the city for their lack of voter cards. Not everyone uses the internet or smartphones.
We pay enough taxes and surely the City could spend the money to get the information to ALL those eligible to vote.

Do you mean cards that Elections Canada usually sends out with the location to vote?

I saw voting information in the newspaper more times that I can count. But, not everyone reads the paper I guess.

Yes. I do mean Voter Cards. like election Canada sends out.
