Did anyone do his or her Civic Duty today?  
 
I had to leave town today so my wife decided to recycle the ten cans of paint we have been storing in our porch for two years.  
 
I thought this would be a simple chore that she could handle easily, but it turned out for her to be a nightmare.  
 
She arrived at the City Works Building at 10.30 am along with an estimated 100 other people in front of her wishing to safely dispose of their accumulated hazardous waste.  
 
Is it worth the trouble?  
 
One hour later of idling all these cars, (there were just as many who arrived behind her as were in front).  
 
If there is such a demand for this service why is there only two times per year that the citizens of Brandon can dispose of these chemicals.  
 
How many frustrated drivers like my wife will say, ‘never again’ and just dump these materials at any convenient location?
