Renting an apartment

I am looking to rent an apartment for myself, non-smoker, no pets, quiet and responsible. I've looked through the classifieds on ebrandon, the Brandon Sun, etc. and can't find any decently priced apartments that a single person could afford on their own. It's very discouraging!
Any one have any leads?
