Questions About Arranging A Social

I'm trying to arrange a fundraising social for a friends surgery, What i'm looking for is average prices of a social (Hall, Alcohol, everything to make it perfect), and the best halls to rent for the occasion.
Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated
