Any good suggestions for getting rid of this ice?

I know we are almost out of winter (thank goodness).
Been using salt, good old fashioned muscle power, and constantly attacking ice build up with an edger to 'score' the ice and create ridges in it for gripping when walking.
I don't have a cat so no kitty litter. No sandbox, either.
What else can I do?
