Yesterday, I went with my mother to help her find paint that would match with a chair cushion. She's painting the overhang of her deck, so she decided on going to one of the major hardware stores.
Well, we were both treated like crap there. The guy first said that there were 3 colors in the cushion (we knew this. We just wanted something to match.) Instead of offering to help find a similar paint color, he stood there staring at us. I swear, I wanted to strangle him. Haha.
So, we went and started looking at paint chips, attempting to find something close to what she wanted. After he chatted with some coworkers at customer service, he came over and asked us if we had found anything yet. I responded that we were getting closer. When he walked away, my mother suggested we leave, so we did.
We went to Glidden Paint (behind Superstore) where she had gotten the stain for her deck earlier in the day. My Gods, these people were so helpful! I wish I had caught their names, but I didn't. The woman sent us home first, to find out if the deck had oil or latex previously painted on it (It was oil, btw). Then when we came back, the young man helped us find a color pretty damn close to the cushion color.
So many props to the people who were working at Glidden Paint on Saturday. I'll be recommending you to all my friends (and e-Brandon
