Just wondering if anyone else has had APX Security System stop by your house. I am in the east end and had a young woman stop by offering to install a security system for free (value up to $1,000). Apparently they are doing this for 4 houses a street trying to get word of mouth out about their system. All they ask is you put a small sign (I saw it) on your property advertising their company. The only catch I have found is you pay $39.99 a month to be connected to your local police etc. And you have to sign a 39 month contract, which is over 3 years. Seems like a long time. I did check their website and called their customer support number to verify they were indeed doing this.
