Recently I have been hereing nothing but crybabys complaining about everything that is bad that is going on in Brandon. Can we have some fun today and go through all the great things that have happen in Brandon lately.  
 
I will start with entertainment.  
 
XFEST - I have heard was an astounding success this year, I have heard that lots of people had a great time even with dismall weather conditions.  
 
WC music awards - coming up soon, lots of buzz about bands playing every night in many places within Brandon. This could lead to many more concerts coming to Brandon in the future if they like the support that Brandon has to offer.  
 
Brandon Wheat Kings and the future Memorial Cup - This years hockey is going to be amazing, promising young players coming to Brandon to showcase their stuff to many scouts. Great year coming up for hockey fans, Keystone renovations, improved replays with the new scoreboard.  
 
Music in the park, music at the local drinking holes (Clancy's, North Forty, Houstons, Lady of the Lake, etc...) Lots of great local talent, lots of variety, good times are available to everyone.  
 
This is just a start, I'm sure that there is more going on that I see. Add to the list and let people know whats going on that is great for the City.  
 
Other topics sports, housing, new businesses. Can we use this day to talk about the positives and a little less on the negatives.
