Old 18th street bridge removal

After weeks of preparations, they were finally in a position today to start the process of removing the large steel beams that made up the old 18th street bridge.
For anyone that's curious, I've added a half dozen pics to this thread that should give a good idea of just what goes into the very tedious process of safely removing what's left of the bridge.
As of about 6:30, they had much of the South half removed. Not sure if they plan on going through the weekend to finish the job, or if they'll pick up where they left off on Monday.
