A moral dilemma - advice needed
9/7/2009 at 9:37 PM
I have a moral dilemma on my hands and I wonder why my fellow ebrandonites think I should do.
Here's the situation:
I have a large yard on a corner property. Along one side of the property, there is a long, tall lilac hedge and several crab apple trees.
I was checking the crab apple trees today to see if the apples were ready for picking when I noticed a condom wrapper and a used condom (I think) on the ground next to one of the trees. This is the second time (at least) this summer that somebody (well, I guess it would be "some bodies", wouldn't it?) decided to get busy in my yard. Both times, they have left the used condom on the ground.
I know. Gross. Ewwwww.
But the used condom wasn't the only think left behind this morning. They also left a cell phone.
I have to admit that I was so angry that I thought about crushing the phone. But then other possibilities entered my mind. Perhaps I should access the images and post the them with this discussion. Maybe some of you would recognize the goof (or goofette) who got busy on my property and left me to clean up the mess.
Or I could call all his/her contacts and tell them what I found, and where I found it.
Or I could call Australia with the cell phone and ring up the long distance charges.
Or I could turn the other cheek, call Rogers and return the phone to the rightful owner, as if nothing happened, and as if I'm not angry about the situation.
What would you folks do?
