Bouquet to Brandon Transit
9/17/2009 at 10:21 AM
Yesterday was the first day of Home Ec for my son's school and as noted in a previous thread students are required to take city transit to go from school to school. I happened to be downtown at noon and noticed that a number of students got on the #1 bus and then the driver got off with the kids and took them to the #9 bus. For the kids going to Earl Oxford School they had to take a #9 bus from downtown but apparently it was very full so the #1 bus took some of them and made a special stop at EO for the kids. It does not usually stop there. My son also informaed me that the Director of Transportation was out at his bus stop and assisted the kids as to what bus option to take to ensure the buses were not overloaded. The drivers were also asking where the kids where they were headed to be sure they got off at the correct stops. I just wanted to commend the transit drivers and other staff for being so helpful to our children. I think they went above and beyond the call of duty.
