The following press release is being sent out to all local media this afternoon. I'd strongly recommend that anyone who has a child in the Brandon School Division add the Group Parent Council as a contact!

eBrandon.ca is excited to announce today that the Brandon Group Parent Council has created a custom area within eBrandon with the aim of connecting with Brandon parents on issues relating to the Brandon School Division, it's schools and students.  
 
The section, which can be accessed by visiting http://groupparentcouncil.ebrandon.ca, features regular updates including meeting minutes and agendas as well as information on related events and workshops. Also included is a contact form to make it was easy a possible to get in touch with the council to share opinions and concerns.  
 
"In light of what's happened with CKX television, we feel that going forward it's more important than ever to reach out to Brandonites and specifically the parents that we represent" says Eva Cameron, president of the Group Parent Council. "As time goes on, you will see regular updates on issues and events that pertain to those with children in the Brandon School Division."  
 
Local parents are encouraged to visit the section and become a "contact" of the Group Parent Council by clicking on the "Add as contact" link. As a contact, a parent will also directly receive regular updates on pertinent issues. For this particular feature, one is required to go through a very brief process to signup for an eBrandon account should they not already have one.
