Wendy's on strike?

I'm not exactly sure what's going on in front of Wendy's, but what it looked like to me was that they were on strike for something. Can anyone else elaborate on the situation? Does a fast food restaurant seriously have a union to be able to go on strike? I hope this doesn't effect the service there, because no matter how busy there are the food is always extremely quick and accurate.
