My rant for the day: Vandalism
3/15/2010 at 6:57 PM
Over the past few months in the news and here in E-Brandon Ive noticed the vandals are back at it. With spring and summer comes the skeeters, ticks and the idots. Can anyone tell me why anyone would want to flatten someones tires, key a car, smash windows, or spray paint something. Today my wife called me and told me the back license plate has been stolen from her car, then not 40 mins later they come back for the front plate. I mean whats goig thru your head atthe time. I realize that they could be on a unregistered vehicle or even a stolen one. But If its just for the act of doing it I just dont get it. Do they go home and feel good about it, is it a topic over pizza. Is it a planned event for them. Can just picture it. One friend says to the other " hey i have a screwdriver and im thinking license plates today". Now im putting the blame on kids only, cause I know its not true. But what satisfaction does one get from it. Is it a sexual thing that gets them off, or is a I need to do something so foolish they cant sleep until its done.
So we called the police to let them know, they will do whatever they can I suppose. And MPI is going to charge us 30 bucks to replce the plates. Now the money isnt a big deal. We will put plates back on the car, but its the people in the world that do these things that cost us all money. Spray painting a dumpster or the side of a garage costs the owners money not the vandals. So to the person that stole our plates today you can keep them, its my gift to you. Maybe you could sell them and get some counselling for yourself.
