New Parking Rules?..since when?
3/23/2010 at 6:56 PM
So.. lastnight I park my car in the back of my apartment building ( there are four stalls, and I park in the only available one left). Goodnight. Today I hear my upstairs neighbor come home and start thumping on the floor and walking very loudly ( more than usual)..to the point where my pictures are rattling on the walls. A little annoyed but no big deal. Go about my business and hear neighbor talking.. A Few minutes later my phone rings.. and guess who. Landlord!. Apparently I am parked in my neighbors parking spot, and he wants it back. Ok.. I look outside and explain to my landlord I am the only one parked in the back at the moment and there's three empty spots left. But no.. I need to move my car because apparently he claimed that spot. Oh before I forget, my neighbor put up a makeshift sign that reads "(apt.#) parking spot, park here and you will be towed, TRY ME". Now.. I would completely understand and gladly move my car if I knew we had assigned parking. But we dont. This is the part I dont get. I was not informed of any new assigned parking spots, but I need to move my car?. And if for some reason the landlord needs to assign parking, wouldn't it seem reasonable to go by who's been living here longer have first picks?.. What do you guys/gals think?..
