1 US Dollar = 1 Canadian Dollar

Parity has returned! I just checked the calculator at www.xe.com and right now they say the Canadian dollar is worth $1.0002 US. Recent news stories I heard said to expect parity by this summer (only April yet) and there is a CHANCE that the Canadian dollar could go as high as $1.20 by Christmas!
Loving it! Cheaper car parts, and more bang for the buck on a US vacation! Makes the weekend gettaways to the States even more attractive! I was in Minot last weekend. Gas works out to 79.3 cents per liter including the exchange rate (Par) in Dunseith by the way
If the Canadian dollar goes much higher, you'll see the US cars flying accross the border into Canada again like you did back in 2008.
I'm sure someone will complain about "Buying Canadian" etc. I don't care, this is a problem for manufacturers, governments, etc. to address, not me. I'll take advantage of a better price on an identical product any day!
