Westman Journal to also now feature 'Breaking news' online
4/13/2010 at 4:03 PM
Just a heads up for anyone that may not have noticed. The Westman Journal will now be using their website to post breaking news stories on some of the more major local stories that break. Yesterday they posted a story regarding the arrest in the Neepawa homicide case, and Editor Bruce Penton tells me that they plan on using their site in a similar way when they get the opportunity.
CKLQ has gained a reputation locally for being quick with posting news tidbits, and more recently the Sun has been posting smaller versions of breaking news stories that are to appear in their next day's paper. ITV has also gotten into posting similar stories.
As is the case if you see a breaking news story on the Journal site or any other one that you feel eBrandonners would like to see, please post the link if someone else hasn't already. With more and more sites getting into breaking news online, eBrandon's role as the central place that connects it all is getting more and more important by the day!
Just a side note that when you do this, please post a link and preferably either a paragraph or a summary of what the link is about, but don't copy and paste the entire article as we need to be respecting of copyright law and these websites' right to be the distributor of their own info.
