I am looking forward to it. The fact that local content is behind a paywall is just the way it should be. Maybe they may even offer micro payments for local stuff??  
 
What irked myself about the old site is once you got there there was squat in reality the local was block the rest was not offered for the most part! Now it seems all the "non local news" will be there. So Yep I will be there on a day to day basis- might even buy a subscription to the paper copy.  
 
The archives will be cool!.  
 
In a related note Those putting paywalls up are irked by the BBC. It seems that the Billions put into the BBC specifically the WEB side ( news etc ) is unfair according to them!  
 
Maybe thats true but it us what it is.  
They can charge( paywallers) what they want for the quality and type of news etc that they want. The BBC as manadated as our CBC is to provide news( free).  
 
The paywallers are just going to have to upsell to make a buck. Maybe just maybe they have a product someone wants to pay for.
