vehicle damage due to roads

Just wondering if any of you people know the laws/policies of vehicle damage caused by roads that are under construction...
Today I was driving to wpg and hit a HUGE ridge on the road that was the bridge about 15 miles east of brandon. The bridge was torn up and I assume was waiting to get repaved. I blew my tire and I think bent the rim as well as some other damage to the undercarraige and also I believe some suspension damage. I will be making an appointment to get my 2010 vehicle into the shop monday first thing. Now there was signage up, but I wasnt aware of this massive damage causing ridge or I would have slowed down even more!
What can/should I do??
