Spraying for Mosquitoes

Having just spent the last few hours trying to garden and being attacked by what felt like a bazillion mosquitoes, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the city it going to spray for the little bloodsuckers. Our summers are just way too short to be forced indoors because of them.
