Just thought I'd send along best wishes to Bruce Penton, whose last day at the Westman Journal was this past Friday.  
 
Bruce came back to Brandon last summer to take on the job of editor of newspaper that he originally founded. I thought he did quite the job of building it back up and will be missed. Bruce will be moving back to Medicine Hat later in the summer to work with the paper there.  
 
Bruce comes from the Brian Marshall "school" of journalism and has been a shining example of the kind of professional that the world just doesn't have enough of in this day and age. As an editor he had just enough "bite" to him to be interesting, yet always carried himself with integrity and always came off as having this community's best interests at heart.
