Parking is a lost skill
7/27/2010 at 11:50 AM
I just got back from Superstore and there was an open spot just by the cart shelter. I thought, "Great, I get to park close." Pulling closer I saw on one side an SUV on the right parked with their tire over the line and on the left a car with their tire on the line leaving less than a spot left close to the door.
I did the only natural thing and pulled in. My right mirror almost touching the SUV's mirror and just enough room to squeeze out the driver's door on the left.
I love doing this and if I come back and the driver is upset I just mention that I am parked in the centre of my spot, where are they parked?
Why can't people take the time to park in the middle of the parking spot? If we all did there would be no door dings and everyone would be happy.
For those who want to take two spots to save their paint job, please park at the far end of the lot so that you don't take a close to the door spot.
