I am so proud of these girls. They have worked together each summer since 2007 and this is their last one working together. They wrote a poem to 94.7 Star FM about working at the pool for the My Friday contest and won. Here is the poem they wrote.  
 
Farewell Hartney Pool  
 
It’s been a blast,  
 
The years went too fast,  
 
With summers full of glories,  
 
And some pretty sweet stories,  
 
Daily, we found rats, frogs, hoppers and more,  
 
With eager swimmers waiting at the door.  
 
Working at the pool, while getting a tan,  
 
Must say, that’s a pretty great summer plan,  
 
We had the tunes pumping all through the day,  
 
Oh, and it was always Star FM by the way,  
 
A blonde, redhead, and two brunettes,  
 
Never knew we’d become so close when we first met,  
 
Saving the swimmers, one life at a time,  
 
And after all that sun: we can still rhyme…. kind of  
 
The Hartney Pool will always be super cool,  
 
Even after we leave home for school.  
 
So now you know how we lifeguards feel  
 
So bye Hartney Pool, keep it real!  
 
The summer and the tans may fade, but the memories will last FOREVER!!!!
