Anyone Pled not guilty to a speeding Ticket?

3 questions
1. If you pled guilty with reasons will you loose a merit of your licence?
2. Has anyone went the court route and won, advice tips?
3. If you loose court do you have to pay court fees? and can you request a jury as funny as that sounds, it seems like it would take alot of work and costs? To get ticket waved?
