Too messy trying to get this on the end of the ot so just my little response to a couple of comments...ready???
“”From Nordberg: To those that say it is a choice... did you choose to be straight?
Nope, not a choice. Do you remember the day you chose to be hetero?
Oh, and btw, to a number of people, the Bible is just an interesting book written by people. The majority of the population of the world does NOT believe it as the word of God.””
Just like it was yesterday: I got one of these and when I looked around, some people had one of those: used the magic of two and two, I did, and naturally the answer was 4: now multiplication being what it is and one of the reasons why we're here, it's pretty simple to see.
Reminds me of a great poem by Kahlil Gibran...make sure you listen to the music, simply profound.

Hey, actually I believe it is the word of God, seeing as we are all individual thoughts of God, that means that we are pieces of God, sooo yeah: and as far as how many people believe those are God’s words? Hmm, hate to tell ya but you are a tad delusional, me thinks.
SuperTodd, read a little further in your wiki research on memetics, which in simpler terms means science of imitation: it doesn't have anything to do with Darwinism v God, so tone down your little happy dance: the greatest promoters of memes in most cases are parents, for obvious reasons of love and trust: then all of society including the tv and media and every show designed to lull people into non truth, like cartoons, sitcoms, most movies and so on: then there's government and big business...oh boy, now there's a perp if there ever was one: too many people actually allow these entities to infiltrate their minds and teach them what to think.
Even though our parents should be the safest source(outside of God), they also have been infected by negative memes...so it's really, really important to understand what and where you can actually get reliable information in regards to truth.
Self awareness should be taught from ground up, including in school...but it's not.
Emerson's essay "Self Reliance" should be a bedtime story for every man woman and child, imo.
Virus of the mind, just examine that and check out your own brain pan to see how many viruses you can identify: you know something like, I need more..., everything always goes wrong for me, all the other kids have one: or stuff like, black people don't deserve a place in our society, if you're not white you're not welcome.
Here's my favorite, fight crime, fight drugs, fight terror, fight cancer, etc.: let's see, who is it that promotes that stuff and reaps their bounties from it???
Those, my fine feathered friends are viruses of the mind and they are ALL cured by choice, and obviously you must be aware of your choices, because if you didn’t know what black was you wouldn’t know you are white…pretty simple stuff.
Bruce Lipton's "Biology of Belief" is also an excellent resource to examine thought.
Well, better stop, don't want to break my own record...all out of the lager, *hic.
Even if you don't agree with me, my friendly suggestion to everyone is to challenge some of these dyed in the wool beliefs that are held so passionately, including homosexuality: have an intimate conversation with your subconscious and test some of these beliefs to see if they hold water.
It's sad that so many people in this world go through their life only to die without experiencing a fraction of what was available...most aren't even aware, but that's changing dramatically in this 21st century.
