Pedestrians need more protection in Brandon.

My husband walks 3 miles to work everyday and back. Almost on a daily basis someone carelessly comes close to hitting him. Vehicles turning right are esp. bad for not checking who is entering the crosswalk right beside them before they make their turn.
I also have been almost hit several times at 1st and Victoria if I had not looked before putting my foot off the curb even though I had the walk signal.
When I had to go to the hospital everyday for physio I would talk my walker and try to cross the crosswalk by Shoppers on Victoria east. The police could make a bundle there ticketing people who do not even attempt to slow down or stop for pedestrians. My daughter was almost hit there by a driver in the second lane who did not stop even though the other lane of cars was.
Please, everybody, just slow down. You can't take back dead !!!
