Brandon Wild Life

I am still on track for moving to Brandon late May and have been looking at homes just outside of Brandon(we like the look of Oak Lake). We are looking forward to going on walks in the country side, but coming from the UK, we are not sure of what wild life we will meet on are walks. Is there any danger with the wild life? Do you see many bears in the Brandon area?
