Thanks to everyone who came out and showed support for this annual event. Your support goes a long way towards enabling us to continue showcasing Brandon talent. To those of you who were there to lend a hand in the bar / kitchen or at the door, your help was greatly appreciated.
Last Saturday's gig was by far the most diverse line up Brandon music fans have ever witnessed.
Big shout out to DEZL for bringing their hard edged rockin' show and doing the sound and lights for the entire night. It was really cool to see you guys again. Still tryin' to figure out how Sskinzzz kicks so much ass on that kit while sittin' on a milk crate! Also, thanks for calling me up for the Zep and The A-Smith. That really hit the spot. IT'S NICE (insert borat voice here) But seriously, it was cool to play those tunes again with you boys even though my rust was probably displayed a bit more than I'd like.
18 Rabbit played a solid show as always. Brandon's original power trio played by far their best set I've ever witnessed even though I was busy with at least 3 different chores during their tunes but could hear everything and loved what I heard. Fuzzy, Teen Wolf & Dirt - Thanks for your unwavering support. Can't wait for "The Blame Is Ours" Want to do a big honkin' feature / review on you guys for "Face The Music" soon.
After all the metal & Rock etc etc... we had to get the funk out! Yes indeed, we needed to get funkafiably freaky and Nu Phunk Orchestra took care of that. Those guys and gal are top notch musicians and their performances just keep getting better and better! What a great way to cap off a great night of celebrating the local music scene.
What I really enjoyed is that all those in attendance proved without a doubt that it doesn't matter how diverse the scene is whether it's the bands on the bill or the people who show up, all of us local music fans will always have a great time.
Cheers!
