Ridgefest 2007 was a success despite the heat and wicked humidity which along with the mosquito fogging may have resulted in a lower gate numbers. We were able to improve somewhat on last year’s contribution to our chosen charity Westman Dreams For Kids. Huge thanks go out to all the bands that played amazingly well in that stifling heat!!! Channel 496, The Knockout, Wad, The Invisible Men, Tangled, Drumline Extravaganza (Twice), Blacklite Buddha and Tangle Box all donated their time and provided an abundance of entertainment for the crowds who took in our fourth annual event. Also, it should be noted that I have the best co-workers in the world at 101.1 FM - The Farm and Westman’s Best Rock KX96. There were a few shifts that had to be moved around while I dedicated my time to this event and everybody pitched in to accommodate in my absence (especially Kristin who took the reins on a double shift at the last minute). Matt, thanks for handling the lion's share of the M.C. duties! As for our sound crew, we couldn't have had better people making things sound great.(These 4 guys were there at 8am and worked tirelessly till midnight!) To our family members along with friends old and new, your enthusiastic spirit displayed while helping out as volunteers is invaluable. If you were there this year, we appreciate the fact that you took the time out of your schedule to attend and if you didn’t take in any of Ridgefest weekend hopefully we’ll see you on the site next year for Ridgefest 5.
