This is a great buisness move. Just think of the money that Tims will be holding and collecting interest on until you use it up. I can't even think of how much money they will be holding and be collecting interest until you spend it in their store. I put $20 on mine and if everyone who gets a card did that across canada, you add it up. I think it is a very good Ideal for then and you. My $20 in my pocket would not do much for me but everyone in one pile, what a large pile. Very smart move on Tim's part and it should speed up the line up.
