Christmas Lights

My wife and I went out tonight to look at Christmas lights. Our conversation went in the direction of global warming and each persons personal carbon foot print.
What are you thoughts of Christmas light display? Should people curb our power use to cut back on our carbon foot print and do our part in the fight against global warning?
