Adopted Dog with new owners......

Hey folks,.....what do you think of the dog that was lost by the one family in Feb.,and was impounded, then adopted a couple weeks later by a new family. Just wondering why the family who lost the dog,took so long to go to the Brandon pound,....then to find out it was adopted by another family. Anyone have a comment on this situation?
