So someone has started developing of the Woodlands area. For 2 weeks now they have been cutting down trees and instead of hauling them away and doing offsite, they have chosen to chip them all. So from early morning until supper time all we hear is this horrible wood chipper. I'm a reasonable person, but after 2 weeks and non stop noise beyond what I call reasonable, what can be done? The part that really gets to me is why on earth are they building more condos? There is already a surplus on the market and homes aren't moving. When will it end? They are destroying a beautiful area in south Brandon all for greed. There are already tons of condos. Where do you think these buyers are going to come from? Not to mention slapping them together. They aren't even built with any care. We have had enough of this noise. Please stop already!,,,  

Not only is it driving me crazy, but it has my pets agitated all day long too. The noise just keeps getting closer.  
 
And I agree with you Magnumchief. Its a real shame they are destroying this area for high end condos when there are lots of places available for sale.

We also live in the south end. If the developers can cut down trees to push in more condos they will! It is sad to see all the trees being cut down. Wall to wall buildings - build it and they will come? From where?

I went out today to see the progress made by the tree removal and find they have damaged the common fence and left a gapping hole in my property. Glad I have been taking pictures all week.

These trees are they on private property or city property? Were you upset at yourself when a builder cleared the trees for your property? Why should you worry if the builder can't find buyers? New housing is needed if the price point is wrong the developer will lower the price. As for the noise during regular hours nothing you can do disrupt them and the noise will be there longer. As for the fence they will have to repair at there expense.

Sounds like a comedy skit I once saw George Carlin do about people he called NIMBY's. It was about people that wanted to see their city prosper and grow, they wanted job creation and all the latest amenities. They just wanted all the construction and negative aspects that go along with progress across town in other words Not In My Back Yard. As for the wonderful trees if they mean so much to anyone the solution is simple, buy the property, pay the taxes forever on it and that way you will have full control over what gets done on it.
