It's like 1130 here on willowdale and we are still hearing them. Seems like it's right outside our windows though. Couldn't be from the sportsplex here! Sucks cause we have a new born baby and they really upset our dog, who upsets our baby. Lol

Me too...I was trying to figure out what the heck the noise was.....still not really sure why they had them ?

They do fire works every year they do relay for life. I really don't see a problem with it.

The problem wasn't the relay for life fireworks. The problem was some folks setting them off on their own, way past quiet time.

I think people need to seriously think before doing their own fireworks. The ones being set off out of a yard in the Willowdale area were flying straight into 3 large cottonwood trees, and hitting the roof of a neighbour's house! No matter what the excuse may be, setting off fireworks in a neighbourhood like that is a STUPID idea!

from the BU Astronomical Observatory. We didn't realize they were happening before hand. I actually watched a portion them through my 5" telescope.

And a reminder that the BU Astronomical Observatory will be having public observing and viewing of the Canada Day fireworks from the top of McMaster Hall.

I agree with jjames on using caution in residential areas. We had our window broken by this when we were not home a few summers ago and thankfully our neighbors were able to board up our window until we could order a replacement.

Thank you !! Now I know what it was about. Love fireworks. Couldn't see them, only heard them. Wish I had realized they were going good to be on.

they don't advertise it so they don't get of traffic congestion like after the Fair and Canada Day fireworks.

I didn't realize someone else was setting them off in their own back yard either so my apologies. I thought everyone was talking about the relay for life ones.
