Got myself a large coffee today and noticed the price went up again by ten cents. Not a big deal though but didn't they just do this recently?

Is it $2.10 now?

$2 for a large for me today...

I asked someone at Tim Hortons if the coffee price went up and he said yes. I bought a large half half and it used to be $2 and now it's $2.10 ... Not sure if it's the coffee or hot chocolate

Many years ago, when I worked for Tim Hortons, I found that Tim Hortons in separate locations were allowed to charge differently for their coffees. Locations in larger cities or on college . university campuses were allowed to charge.  
 
That might be the case here, where Brandon is now considered a higher traffic location. Its an interesting thing to see though. Definitely as the cost of living goes up, we will find things like our Timmies on the rise as well.

Which location where you at when you paid $2.10?

I wonder if you were charged for the wrong sized item or a different item altogether?

It wasn't the coffee that went up. It was the hot chocolate, french vanilla, English toffee, etc.

And the expresso shot is now $.70 rather and .60

I got a large coffee at Robins on Tuesday and it went up to $2.05 , the lady said it only went up 2 cents but due to the rounding it's 2.05 now.Starbucks went up a while ago so if Timmies or McD haven't went up yet they sure will soon.

With the removal of the penny, this was bound to happen. And we all know businesses will never round down. lol. Most likely that is what happened.

You should remind them that the federal government rounding guidelines suggest that they round down from 2.02 and get your debit card out!!  

that if the price is actually $2.02, then the price charged on credit or debit cards is $2.02.  
 
It's only if you're paying cash that $2.02 would be rounded down to $2.00 (or $2.03 rounded up to $2.05).

The only reason why I noticed because I always bring a toonie and now I need a toonie and ten cents lol

It can be entered into the till two different ways. It can be entered as a hot chocolate with 1/2 coffee, or a coffee with 1/2 hot chocolate. If they ring it in the first way, then with the price change it will be $2.10, if they do it the second way it will stay $2.00. I work at a TH's is how I know.
