Fishing in Rivers

Just wondering if anyone has shore fished at rivers lately, looking to take my father in law out. He is just starting out so any spots that have been good from shore would be appreciated. I am not looking for people to give up their honey holes.. Also has the Dam slowed down. We are catch and release fisherman. Thanks

People have been saying the best fishing from Shore is at the base of the Dam. People have also been fishing on the West side of the Bridge down from the Dam.
