Hi, in May my fiancé and I will be getting married. We are doing a rustic theme and so I am hoping to use alot of natural decorations. One of the things I'm wanting to use are tree trunk slices similar to the ones in the pictures on this thread! Does anyone know who or where I could contact or go to get some of these? Thanks in advance for the help!!

I know you can get them at micheals but there expensive. If I were you I'd find some logs and a chainsaw and just do it myself. Or find a friend who can do it, then just coat it in varnish. At micheals they were $30 for one much smaller then that.

It was either on here or the Brandon families swap and shop fb page that I saw someone selling some!

Keeping my eye open on ebrandon and the swap and shop to see if I come across anyone selling them! I haven't seen anyone yet but I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled. I must've missed the post you saw!  
 
Yeah, I saw Michaels too but so expensive. Unfortunately I don't think I'd do well with a chainsaw lol but I'm hoping to maybe find someone who is! Thanks for the help!

There was a girls selling a whole bunch on Dauphin Buy and Sell on Facebook

They don't have to be that big, it was just the best picture I could find to really show what I mean! I'm hoping to use them in my centre pieces with some flowers and the table number - very simple so don't have to be big!

And of course I fully expected to have to varnish the wood myself, I just needed to locate the wood haha!

Roughly how many do you need and a rough estimate at length and thickness your looking for? I'll have to go log hunting.

We have some oak that may work for you.

We rented some from Party Professionals and they were about $3 each to rent.

a band saw and a log cutting attachment, unfortunately no logs laying around until the tree out back gets cut down.  
 
If you get logs and need them sliced up I should be able to do it for you. I will be back in Rivers in a couple of weeks.
