Just want to hear what peoples opinions are towards the lack of access to the Assiniboine river , and what they think would be a good location for a launch .

Probably because not many people have a desire to boat in the Assiniboine in the first place. Been years since I boated in the river too much crap to hit if you don't know where you are going. Used to be a launch over by the discovery center but that was years ago so more then likely gone. Not sure about the park off 1st I have seen docks but not sure if that is for fishing or what. There are several lakes within an easy drive of Brandon that would be more fun then navigating the river.

There is a public meeting being held at the Victoria Inn at 7:00 -10:00 tonight if anyone is interested in hearing about the riverbank development project the city is looking for ideas and concerns , , anyone is welcome .

There is a chance to share your ideas and brainstorm with others about how to access and use the riverbank over the next 20 years.  
Taking place at the Victoria Inn tonight(Aug.19) from 7-10 pm in Salon 1.
