Hey all..... Can someone direct me to converting my VHS tapes to CD's? Especially my wedding tape!!  
If it wasn't for my Husband mentioning it, I wouldn't have thought about it but since he would like to see our wedding day again, I would like to surprise him for our 15th Anniversary this November. Thank you all in advance.

If you want to convert vhs to dvd just get a dvd player with a burner/recording option. Hook up your vcr through the dvd player/burner and do it the same way everyone used to copy/pirate movies in the '80s. Lol.  
Easy.

WCGtv, the Community Programming Department at Westman Communications Group, used to do this: I had them convert a VHS tape to CD a few years ago and I think the cost was around $10 at that time. Not sure if they still provide that service.

I saw the "box" to do this in either Staples or Best Buy on the 13th. Not sure it's exactly the same, as the one mentioned here.  
If the DVD recorders are affordable now, they have come down in price: the one's I know of are in the $600 to $1,000 range.  
There was a business that does transfers to DVD on Lorne Ave. around 9th street.-not sure if they are still there, a lot has changed in that area in recent years.  

There is an add in the classifieds someone can do it for you.
