    New Class 1 Driver

    I'm looking for info on how easy or tough it would be for a brand new driver to obtain employment. It's for a buddy who is mid fifties, no criminal record, and a solid work history. He's simply looking for something different as a career. Any suggestions or leads would be appreciated. Inbox me if you wish. Thanks!

    Does he want to do long haul,short route,drive for construction as there are always lots of outfits looking for people to drive gravel trucks.  
    Maybe go to the un employment office for job listings.

    I see some of the fertilizer dealers are advertising for drivers for the fall run. Probably not tractor/trailer driving, but would provide a bit of driving while he looks for something more permanent. Seems to always be job postings for drivers of some sort on eBrandon etc.

    He said he would prefer longer runs. He does not want to do in city pickups and drop offs. Cant say I blame him! I do short hauls combined with the odd long trip. It's almost perfect.
