Potential homicide in Carberry

Just read theres a potential homicide in Carberry of all places. Whats this world coming to. Such a small town its so shocking.

maybe, but really this can happen anywhere where there is more than one person residing. What would make Carberry so different?

I think crime in Carberry is only going to get worse with the increase in traffic and people in the area with the new casino. I'm actually almost surprised it took this long for something newsworthy to happen. That being said, my condolences to the family

I can't honestly say that I have noticed an increase in traffic in carberry due to the casino. The casino is not in town so don't think many visitors of the casino stop in town as everything one could need is available at the casino.

Was just waiting for someone to try to blame this on the casino.
A violent crime can and probably has happened in every small town.
Anyone who has ever been to the casino would know the patrons are mostly senior citizens, many on bus trips. Hardly likely to beat someone to death with their walker.

I agree such ridiculousness but of course someone would give it a try.

The victim was from Ebb and Flow First Nation staying and working for a local contractor who was working for MB Hydro.

Involved 5 people. 2 were assaulted. 1 died. 3 facing charges.

Wanna say about 3-4 years ago there was bunch break ins house got shot up that was before there was even talk about a casino lol
