I know in the past I was continuously delivered mail for the correct house number but different street. I would just drop it off to the correct home owner until one day I was chastised and made to feel like I was taking their mail. " |

I would still feel guilty for not just dropping it off in the mail after a couple days went by. That's just me. Not trying to place blame but just offering up an easy, quick solution to the problem. The next time I saw the mail person, I'd ask about it. I know if I was the person waiting on this piece of mail, I'd appreciate that...I'm sorry you had a crappy experience.
Last year, I left a Christmas card with a small gift card in it for our mail lady, clearly marked. It was left in there for awhile as I'm sure she probably thought it was just mail I hadn't brought in.
